The Bass:Mint gang, in cahoots with the Agency, aim to "reinvent the drum 'n' bass wheel in the Big Apple" with a night of, well, drum 'n' bass. But fine drum 'n' bass it is, with rotating residents Dara, DB, the Mathematics trio, Know:El, Clever and Sibsonian rinsin' it out, and the occasional top guest dropping in for a visit. Tonight, DB and Mathematics are on deck duty, so expect the sounds to be deeply funky. For more info, go to www.sullivanroom.com.

Fri 6 A Night Called Thatch Sullivan Room 218 Sullivan St between Bleecker and W 3rd Sts (212-252-2151). Subway: A, C, E, B, D, F, V to W 4th St. 10pm; $15, $10 on reduced-admission list before 1:30am.

One of the city's finest house-music labels, Coco Machete, is back for another edition of its monthly hoedown. Tonight, resident spinners Sean Holland and Michael Davis are joined by Dominique Keegan and DJ Wool—a.k.a. the Glass—who are celebrating the release of their mix-CD The Sound of Young NY II (out soon on Dominique's Plant Music). The CD leans heavily toward the dance-oriented rock end of the musical spectrum (with featured artists including the likes of !!!, Dead Combo and the Faint), so don't go into shock if you hear the occasional six-string in the four-deck mix.
